Friday 8th February - ELLE DECORATION "A Fashionable Life"

In a serendipitous turn of events, Tara Darby was the photographer asked by Elle Deco to photograph the homes of bloggers for their March issue fashion special........ which was a lush act of fate and coincidence because its one of her photographs which hangs above my bed.  Not only could she witness first hand were it's positioned pride of place but also have the opportunity to snap one of her works in situe.  We had a lush sunny morning, taking time to capture the interior of my London home and catch up on lost time inbetween takes.   Here are some of the published pics and a couple of bonus detail shots of my EDE collaboration jumper and SWATCH watch.  Pick up a copy to read the article with the two other bloggers featured - Disney Rollergirl and Park & Cube.
Head over to Minature Love to keep up to date with Tara's personal projects aside from her commissioned work.
(Thanks to Tara for giving me permission to publish these photos)

Thurs 7th Feb: Fashion + Cakes by Corey Moranis

In addition to Blogger, Twitter, Facebook, Tumbler etc. I'm now on Instagram........... which has opened up yet another portal of international creatives to discover.   One of the most cosmic and fun that I have found is DJCosmosis in Toronto, who posts pop-colourful cakes she is baking and the daily glittery schnickle schnackle that surrounds it.  Above are the results of her most recent project using patterns from her styling and applying them to extraordinary confectionery.  As I always like to give a behind-the-scenes peek into the process of preparing finished works, I'm going to follow this post with a 2nd to show the method to this breakthru baking.............. but be sure to look her up yourself for a constant stream of fantastical, cute, kitsch, crafty, cake-centric snaps........
